ABOUT KARISSA

Karissa Lynette’s musical journey began in Southern California, where she grew up a worship leader’s daughter. In addition to leading worship in church, young Karissa studied classical piano for seven years. She won multiple awards while competing classically, including the Steinway Society of Riverside County Study award. When it came time to go to college, Karissa adventured away to Virginia, where she began studying Commercial Music with a focus in Songwriting at Liberty University. This past summer, Karissa served as a worship ministry intern at McLean Bible Church in Vienna, Virginia. Now, as she finishes up her senior year at Liberty University, Karissa is embarking on a journey of weaving creative musical elements into songs for the voice of the church.
